The Color Forager's Mini Pocket Flower Press, Handcrafted Reclaimed Wood

Preserve beautiful blooms of color and pigment while on-the-go with a beautifully handcrafted flower press!

Each press is crafted individually, using reclaimed wood pieces which have been smoothed and sealed to silky perfection. Your press comes with a pre-cut stack of pressing papers and thicker cardstock papers to hold your pressed specimens neatly within, and to ensure even and efficient drying. The presses are conveniently sized, easy to keep in your foraging basket or pouch while out hiking and exploring nature.

Pressing leaves and flowers is a great way to preserve the shapes and colors of nature. There so many decorative crafts that can be made using pressed plant materials, and you can document the season’s changes with ease. Tip: use your press to preserve pigment heavy flowers such as cosmos or coreopsis to use the dried blooms for later eco-printing projects on cloth or paper!

Specifications

Each press is 100% handmade, and as such, are completely unique. Wood color, grain, and pattern will vary between each press. The presses available are numbered in the fourth image. Use the drop down menu to choose which press you would like to purchase. Each press comes with approximately 30-40 pressing papers, and Use Instruction Card.

Each press measures approximately 4.5” L x 4” W x 1.5” H

Each press also comes with two sets of quality brass bolts and wingnuts for tightening.

The pressing papers and cardstock inside measure approximately 3.75” L × 2.25” W. The papers can be reused multiple times, and it is simple to cut more, or refill pages can be purchased.
